PRIVACY POLICY


Best of Travel, LLC (Best of Travel, LLC and we) is the owner and operator of BestofMcKinney.com.   This Privacy Policy applies only to the information collected on the Web Site located at www.BestofMcKinney.com (our Site).   By visiting the Site, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy notice.   Please note that the Site contains links to other sites.   Web sites that are linked to the Site or carry the Best of Travel, LLC brand for partnership or marketing purposes may have privacy policies that differ from this Privacy Policy, and those privacy policies will govern your use of those sites.  

Since we gather certain types of information about our users, we want to help you understand the terms and conditions surrounding the collection and use of that information.   This privacy statement discloses the types of information we gather, how we use it, with whom the information may be shared, and how to correct or change it.  

1. What anonymous information does Best of Travel, LLC collect?
Your Internet browser has a feature called cookies which stores small amounts of data on your computer about your visit to our Site.   However, cookies tell us nothing about who you are unless you specifically give us personally identifiable information.   You do not need to have cookies turned on to visit our Site, but certain features may not be available to you if you disable or delete cookies created during your visits.   You may elect not to allow cookies to be collected by selecting certain options on your browser.   Best of Travel, LLC also automatically receives and records information from our servers and from your browser, including your IP address, the time, and information about the page you requested.   We may use tracking technologies for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to:

        accumulating and reporting anonymous, aggregate, statistical information on our Site and advertisement usage for Best of Travel, LLC's own use and/or

        determining which features you like best;
        saving your login name and password so you do not have to sign in each time you visit our Site; and

2. What personally identifiable information does Best of Travel, LLC collect?
Best of Travel, LLC collects personally identifiable information to, among other things provide you with information about products and services that are relevant to you. Best of Travel, LLC collects personally identifiable information when you provide it to us by registering or submitting one of our online forms. Once you register with BestofMcKinney.com or submit an online form, you are no longer anonymous to us. When you register to use the Site or submit an online form, Best of Travel, LLC collects personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, address, email address, and telephone number. While not all of these are required for the Site services to function, we are better able to serve you if you volunteer complete and accurate information. Users who complete the registration process can take full advantage of the Site's offerings. We may use personally identifiable information for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to:
        allowing you to post reviews on the Site;
        allowing you to post advertisements in our classified section;
        allowing you to post events on our event calendar;
        allowing you to make reservations;
        allowing you to send information from our Site to other people;
        providing you with access to our newsletter;
        contacting you regarding marketing activities if you log in as an advertiser; and
        communicating with you regarding changes or enhancements to our policies and services, or other issues regarding your account, including any
        violations of the Terms of Use.

3. What organization is collecting the information?
When you register at BestofMcKinney.com or submit an online form, your information is collected and maintained by Best of Travel, LLC, unless specifically stated otherwise at the point of collection.   Be aware that sponsors of BestofMcKinney.com and other advertisers may have links on the Site that take you to external sites.   Some of these sites may collect personally identifiable information from you and may use cookies and web beacons in their advertisements to collect certain information from you.   This Privacy Policy does not cover third-party data collection practices, and Best of Travel, LLC is not responsible or liable for any actions of third parties.  



4. Will Best of Travel, LLC share my information?
Best of Travel, LLC will not share your personally identifiable information with any third-party advertiser or marketing organization without first receiving your consent, unless (a) we are working with other companies to provide you with information, products or services that you have requested, (b) Best of Travel, LLC reasonably believes that your personally identifiable information should be shared to respond to a subpoena, court order or other legal process, or (c) your actions violate the law, our Site's Terms of Use, or threaten the rights or safety of Best of Travel, LLC or any other person.   If you use the products or services of Best of Travel, LLC's business partners, you grant us permission to send your personally identifiable information to such business partner.   Our business partner's use of such information is governed by their respective privacy policies.   Additionally, we may share non-personally identifiable information with anyone for any legal purpose, including with advertisers, investors, and in the course of making presentations.   If Best of Travel, LLC or BestofMcKinney.com is acquired by or merged with another company, Best of Travel, LLC may transfer personally identifiable information about you to that company.  



5. What about advertisements?
Advertisers on the Site are allowed to gather information using cookies and other non-personally identifiable tracking technologies.   Except as specifically set forth in this Privacy Policy or elsewhere on the Site, Best of Travel, LLC does not share your personally identifiable information with advertisers.   Advertisers on the Site cannot identify you personally unless you register with them or specifically provide such information.   Our advertiser's use of information they collect on our Site is governed by the advertiser's respective privacy policies, not by the Site's Privacy Policy.  



6. What are my options?
Users who do not want to receive newsletters from Best of Travel, LLC are given an opportunity to opt-out during the registration process.   Additionally, users who would rather not provide any of the user data requested by our registration process do not need to register with us.   You can still view some of the content and use some of the services offered by our Site without registering.   If you have a question about the opt-out process that is not answered on the registration page, please send an email to Best of McKinney.  



7. What kinds of security procedures are in place to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information in Best of Travel, LLC's control?
Best of Travel, LLC uses commercially reasonable security measures to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of your user data under our control.   While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse, or alteration to data will not occur, we take commercially reasonable precautions to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.   You are ultimately responsible for the security of your BestofMcKinney.com login name and password.   Please take care when using and storing them.   Best of Travel, LLC recommends that you do not divulge your password to anyone.   You should log out of your browser at the end of each computer session to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence.  



8. How will I know if the Privacy Policy changes?
Best of Travel, LLC reserves the right to modify the Privacy Policy periodically upon notice.   For a period of 30 days following a change to the Privacy Policy, Best of Travel, LLC will post a notice announcing the change in a prominent place on the Site.   Best of Travel, LLC may also notify you of a change via email.   You acknowledge and agree that the notification methods described in this Section 8 are reasonable and adequate.   By continuing to use the site after Best of Travel, LLC's posting of such changes, you agree to be bound by these terms as modified.   If you do not agree to the terms in the Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the site.  



9. How can I update my personally identifiable information?
You can correct or change the personally identifiable information collected during registration by logging into your account and updating your user profile.   If you are experiencing problems or have questions about how this process works, you can contact us by clicking on the link to Best of McKinney.   Currently, we do not offer users a means by which to delete completely personally identifiable information established at the time of registration.  



10. What about the privacy of children?
This Site is not directed to children under the age of 13.   We operate our Site in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and do not permit registration by, and will not knowingly collect or use personally identifiable information from, anyone under 13 years of age.
